General presentation
The magnetic AC contactor is a commutation electrical device, electromagnetically powered, capable to sustain, maintain and switch off electrical power in normal circuit usage.
The contactor can be equipped with thermal overload relay in order to protect in case of overcharge and with auxiliary contacts for commanding the extra circuits.
The LC1-D series contactors are intended for assuring the control of circuits and consumers AC-3 category, with a nominal current of max. 95A.
The contactors come in a version made with a 1NO contact or 1NC contact for forming the functioning array, and in case of a nominal current equal or higher then 40A, they are equipped with an auxiliary contact 1NC + 1NO.
They can be equipped with a thermal relay for the protection at overcharge and auxiliary contacts for commanding the extra circuits.
For protection against short circuits currents, a automatic switch or cartridge fuses must be mounted in front of the contactor.
The contactor and the thermal relay are selected so that the nominal current to be higher than the nominal current of the electrical motor.

Mounting instructions
They can be mounted on the DIN rail.
They must be selected paying attention to keep the maximum current that goes through the connection bar to be bellow 63A, or 80A respectively.
After you loosen the screws from the breakers terminal blocks, the connection bar, together with the conductors, are introduced inside the tightening terminals and then the screws are fixed back.
