The horizontal fuse switch disconnectors are made to protect the electric equipments against the destructive effects of the short circuit circuit or overload, by using industrial safety cartridges MPR type.
The range of use is varied:low voltage distribution boxes, industrial or apartment flash distribution boxes, industrial command boxes.
The devices design ensures full protection during functioning. The insulating materials have a high dielectric rigidity and prevent against leakage current.
The power circuits are silver plated, and the terminals allow connecting the aluminum and cooper cables without lugs. The disconnectors are recommended to be used inside, in a dust-free environment, without any corrosive substances or explosive gases.
For exterior use, they must be installed in cabinets with a protection of IP34 or higher.
The horizontal fuse switch disconnectors are composed of:
– tripolar fuse base equipped with arched contacts, with terminals that allow connecting cables with or without lugs.
– casket for contacts; for superior contacts, it has extinguishing rooms.
– removable cap with a joint/hinge in the lower part which also offer support for the fuse base.
The coupling and decoupling is made by rotating the cap between the close and open position at an angle of 70°.
The coupling and decoupling must be done with a continuous and fast process.
It is recommended that the replacement of the fuse elements to be done after the detachment of the fuse base lid. In consequence the device also serves as a visible divider.

The horizontal fuse switch disconnectors function on vertical position. The base is mounted in panels using screws: 2xM6 (ELV 000), 4xM6 (ELV 00) si 4xM8 (ELV 1, ELV 2, ELV 3). The access to the fixing screws is possible after removing the carcass. After mounting the base, the carcass and the cap for the base are mounted.
Note: For ELV 000 the length is 21mm, according to standard EN 60269-2-1.
